From 26 to 28 October in Moscow in Expocentre has passed IV International Forum RUSNANOTECH. Traditionally, guests of this event are leading politicians and academics, heads of major domestic and foreign companies. The Forum was attended by Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Omsktehuglerod" Valery KAPLUNAT.

RUSNANOTECH became one of the key events of 2011 in terms of innovation in Russia, the global platform for discussion of a nanotechnology industry.

The plenary meeting was attended by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, in his welcoming speech, he stopped at particular attention to the need to analyze "the main trends of the global scientific and technological development and research excellence commercialization of innovation."

This year the main theme of the Forum was the demand for innovation. This was stated by welcoming the participants of the Forum, First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov:

- A key issue on the agenda is the demand for innovative products from different industries. The main theme of the Forum on Nanotechnology, we have made a demand for innovation. We are talking primarily about the mechanisms stimulating the demand from the State of orders for R & D from the ministries and departments, as well as state-owned companies - to direct procurement of products within the federal and regional programs.

The plenary discussion, "The demand for innovations" made chairman of the board "RUSNANO" Anatoly Chubais, president of the "Skolkovo" Viktor Vekselberg, President of the United Aircraft Corporation, Mikhail Pogosyan, Founding President Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology Edward CRAWLEY (USA).

Speakers tabled topics such as innovative technologies in machine building and metal processing, optoelectronics and nanoelectronics, solar energy and energy conservation, medicine and biotechnology, a new branch of nanostructured materials, infrastructure projects.

The Forum was an exhibition of Russian nanotechnology products and foreign RUSNANOTECH Expo 2011.

112 stands were represented by scientific research and product samples of 385 companies and organizations participating in the 107 Russian cities and 9 countries - Australia, Britain, Spain, Japan, Germany, Iran, Netherlands, Finland, South Korea.
